Our Team

Dami Adesegha
Dami Adesegha

Chief Executive Officer

Dami Adesegha launched Sol Ecolution in early 2021 and is responsible for setting and executing the business’s renewable energy strategy across the 22 markets in which Sol operates. Under his tenure, Sol Ecolution has commenced the development of rooftop solar installations on a pipeline of over 100 Sol-owned sites and grown its pipeline to over 100MW of potential opportunities. Dami initially joined Parkland in 2016, serving on the Corporate Development (M&A) team first in Canada, and later in the Caribbean. While in Corporate Development, Dami was involved in over $1.5 billion of acquisitions and divestitures across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean.

Manuel Preckler
Manuel Preckler

Electrical Project Engineer

Manuel joined the Sol Ecolution team in 2023 in an Electrical Project Engineer capacity. He has significant experience in various electrical design sectors, including renewable energy, electricity distribution and electromechanical. He received his Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management of PV Installations from the Escuela Internacional de Posgrados (Spain) and also completed his European Master in Renewable Energy Specialization in the Integration of Renewable Energy into the Network from Hanze UAS (Netherlands).

Leoniris Arroyo
Leoniris Arroyo

Project Engineer

Leoniris joined Sol Ecolution in 2023 as a Project Engineer and has an extensive background in project management, serving many commercial customers in the Pharmaceutical & Fueling sector. Specifically, Leoniris has over 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry and over five years of experience in renewables. She holds a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.

Ivan Cheng
Ivan Cheng

Chief Financial Officer

Ivan Cheng joined the team early in 2023 and is responsible for corporate finance, capital allocation, fundraising and commercial development. Prior to joining Sol Ecolution, Ivan held various senior roles within the Supply & Trading division of Sol, most recently leading the Group Optimization team. Before joining the Sol Group, Ivan worked in the energy capital markets industry in Canada. Ivan graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance.

Stuart Bannister
Stuart Bannister

Project Engineer

Stuart Bannister is a Project Engineer for Sol Ecolution and is the focal point for the execution of Sol’s renewable energy projects in the Eastern Caribbean. Stuart’s prior experience spans the areas of business development, solar photovoltaic design, project management and energy policy. He previously held positions with Barbados National Oil Company and the United Nations Development Programme. Stuart holds a BSc in Physics with Mathematics and a Masters in Renewable Energy: Technology and Sustainability.

Monica Hernandez
Monica Hernandez

Accountant

Monica has been part of the broader Sol Puerto Rico team since 2011, serving in various Finance focused roles. She began working with Sol Ecolution in 2022 and formally transitioned to the team in 2023. Monica has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (Honors, Summa Cum Laude). In addition, she has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix (Puerto Rico Campus).

Kate Yunyaeva
Kate Yunyaeva

Business Development Manager

Kate Yunyaeva joined Sol Ecolution in 2021 and is currently the Business Development Manager. Kate’s primary focus is developing and advancing commercial and utility-scale opportunities across Sol’s footprint in the Caribbean. Before joining Sol, Kate served as Business Development Manager for a publicly traded IPP in North America. In this role, Kate evaluated over $2 billion (2 GW) in renewable energy opportunities and managed the financial modeling efforts that secured close to 1GW of solar and wind assets across the United States.Kate is a CPA with over nine years of combined experience in the financial and renewable energy sectors.

David Garcia
David Garcia

Analyst

David Garcia holds a Master's in Sustainable Energy System Management from Hanze University of Applied Sciences and Universidad de Zaragoza, complemented by a Bachelor's in International Relations from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Currently contributing to Sol Ecolution, David focuses in solar PV project development across Caribbean countries, involving business case development, financial modeling, stakeholder collaboration, and policy research.

Alejandro Castaneda
Alejandro Castaneda

Project Development Manager

Alejandro Castaneda joined Sol Ecolution in mid-2021 with the goal of solarizing Sol’s retail network across the Caribbean and providing technical support to the team. Alejandro is a mechatronics engineer and holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Systems Management. Alejandro has extensive experience in residential and commercial Solar PV engineering and project management in the Caribbean. He previously managed a large portfolio of solar projects in his role as Senior Project Coordinator in a Cayman Islands-based renewable energy Engineering Procurement and Construction “EPC” firm. Alejandro worked as a consultant with Accenture before earning his Master of Science in the Netherlands.

Etienne Bellemare
Etienne Bellemare

Junior Project Engineer

Etienne joined Sol Ecolution in 2023 as a Junior Project Engineer after completing his MSc. in Sustainable Energy System Management in the Netherlands. He has 5+ years of prior experience working in engineering design and infrastructure projects in both Florida and Trinidad & Tobago. He also holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering and has attained the engineering intern certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. In addition, Etienne has obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation from the Project Management Institute.
